Brightens skin, reduces acne, and improves texture.
✔ Follow a Gentle Skincare Routine – Stick with a mild, non-exfoliating skincare routine to avoid over-drying or irritating the skin before the peel.
✔ Arrive with Clean Skin – Make sure your face is free from makeup, lotions, oils, and sunscreen. Clean skin ensures the peel can fully penetrate and be effective.
✔ Consult About Medications – If you’re using any acne treatments, retinoids, or other prescription skincare, inform your provider. You may be advised to discontinue these products for several days leading up to your treatment.
✔ Shave If Needed – If you plan to have a peel on areas like the chin or upper lip, it may be helpful to shave the area 24 hours before the treatment (but avoid waxing or plucking).
🚫 No Sun Exposure or Tanning – Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanners for at least 1-2 weeks before your treatment. Sunburned or recently tanned skin is more sensitive and can increase the risk of irritation.
🚫 Stop Using Active Skincare Ingredients – Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating products at least 3-5 days before the peel to avoid over-exfoliating or irritating the skin.
🚫 No Chemical Peels or Other Exfoliating Treatments – Avoid other facial treatments, like chemical peels or microdermabrasion, for 2 weeks before your VI Peel to allow the skin to heal and avoid excessive exfoliation.
🚫 Avoid Waxing or Threading – Avoid hair removal methods such as waxing or threading 1 week before the treatment to prevent skin irritation.
🚫 Limit Alcohol & Caffeine – Reduce your intake of alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before the treatment to help minimize any risk of increased sensitivity or redness.
