Share Your Health History. Let your provider know about any medications, supplements, or medical conditions so your treatment can be planned safely. If you are taking antibiotics, retinoids, or other medications that cause photosensitivity, some may need to be paused before treatment.
Ask Before Stopping Blood Thinners. Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E can increase bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication without your doctor’s approval, but if cleared, avoid these in the days before treatment.
Hydrate & Nourish Your Body. Because EZGEL uses your own plasma, your overall health directly affects the quality of what we have to work with. Drink plenty of water and focus on balanced, nutritious meals in the days leading up to your appointment, and have a light meal beforehand to make your blood draw easier and more comfortable. The healthier and more hydrated you are, the better your results can be.
Limit Alcohol & Caffeine. Avoid alcohol and reduce caffeine for 24 hours before treatment to help minimize bruising, swelling, redness, and skin sensitivity.
Arrive with Clean Skin. Come with a clean face and avoid applying makeup, lotions, or oils to the treatment area.
No Sun Exposure or Tanning. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Stop Using Active Skincare Ingredients. Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs (glycolic, salicylic acid), benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating scrubs 5 to 7 days before treatment.
Avoid Chemical Peels or Other Energy-Based Treatments. Avoid undergoing aggressive facial treatments 2 to 4 weeks before your session.
No Waxing, Plucking, or Threading. Avoid hair removal methods that pull hair from the root in the treatment area for at least 1 week before treatment.
Plan Around Events. Schedule your treatment ahead of important events in case of temporary swelling or bruising.
