Consult Your Provider About Medications. If you are taking antibiotics, retinoids, or other medications that cause photosensitivity, inform your provider as some may need to be paused before treatment.
Arrive with Clean Skin. Cleanse the treatment area and avoid applying makeup, lotions, or oils.
No Sun Exposure or Tanning. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Stop Using Active Skincare Ingredients. Discontinue retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, glycolic, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliating scrubs 5-7 days before treatment.
Pause Antibiotics if Advised. Some antibiotics may increase photosensitivity. Consult your provider if adjustments are needed.
No Waxing, Plucking, or Threading. Avoid hair removal methods that pull from the root at least 2 weeks before treatment.
Limit Alcohol & Caffeine. Reduce intake 24 hours before your treatment to minimize redness and sensitivity.
